In this Jam, Paul shares his research findings from his thesis investigation into the imaginative capabilities of educational leaders and the processes underpinning their development. The research uses a grounded theory methodology to analyze interviews with educational leaders recognized for driving innovation and social change. These findings address the gap in leadership theories by providing novel insights into imagination as malleable holistic behaviour extending beyond the mind to include the body and context.
